With the release of Sean's new solo album, Make Good Choices, he has been popping up everywhere in the local Seattle media (in print, TV, and radio). I've kept meaning to post some of these as they've come up, but I'll just put them all here.

First, recently, Sean appeared on the local TV program New Day Northwest. He played (a somewhat stripped-down version of) the title track off of the new album, and had a somewhat awkward interview with the show's host. It is cool with that performance, that we get to hear clearly the first couple lyrics of that song that come out distorted on the recording: "As the surgeon said to the undertaker's widow..." I think he has been on the show before with John Roderick before, promoting something else that I have since forgotten. You can also note Sean's wife, Shenandoah Davis, playing as part of the band. I think she might be the female backing vocal that popped up on the album.

An article about Sean also appeared in today's Seattle Times. It's a good, short read, I suggest you check it out. A quote of note from said article: "Now that he has 'Choices' out of the way, Nelson doesn’t plan to wait until he’s 50 to put out another record. In fact, his next is already 'mostly written.'"

Sean also appeared on KEXP this morning on the John in the Morning show. It's not yet available on their downloadable live performances archive, BUT it is available on their streaming show archive here at the 9:34 am mark on 6/25/13. Like everything on KEXP it is high quality stream, and sounds amazing. They played Born Without a Heart, The Price of Doing Business, Make Good Choices, and Kicking Me Out of the Band.
